Rehabilitation Center
After the 44-day war against Artsakh in 2020, it became necessary to establish a Rehabilitation Center at "IZMIRLIAN" MEDICAL CENTER in order to organize the postoperative rehabilitation treatment of a large number of soldiers.
The British Barnabas Charitable Christian Foundation expressed its willingness to bring this goal to life, through the mediation of the Primate of the Great Britain Diocese of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Hovakim.
On the initiative of Scientific Coordinator of "IZMIRLIAN" MEDICAL CENTER Armen Charchyan and with the support of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, the daily work to make the goal a reality began, and shortly after, "IZMIRLIAN" MEDICAL CENTER Rehabilitation Department began providing professional assistance to servicemen wounded in the war.
The department has acquired a high-precision microscope manufactured by Leica Microsystems, which allows for the implementation of the most complex surgeries.
The department is equipped with the necessary hydrotherapy and neurorehabilitation equipment, which are used for physiotherapeutic purposes.
A number of researches are being conducted at the Rehabilitation Center:
- Electroneuromyography (ENMG), which allows for rapid and accurate diagnosis of nerve injuries
- Electroencephalography (EEG), which examines the electrical activity of the brain, records electrical signals transmitted between brain cells and detects diseases such as epilepsy or other diseases accompanied by seizures, sleep disorders, brain tumors, cranial injuries, encephalitis, stroke
- Electrophoresis, which improves lymph, blood circulation and the secretory function of organs, dilates skin and deep blood vessels. It is indicated mainly for neuralgia, diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system, neuritis, radiculitis, plexitis, neurosis, migraine and a number of other diseases.
Amplipulse (СМТ), which regulates blood circulation in the relevant organs and tissues and restores the affected organ abnormalities. It is indicated for all pain syndromes: sprains, myositis, hematomas, inflammatory processes of the peripheral nervous system, radiculitis, osteochondrosis, sciatica, arthrosis-arthritis.
Darsonvalization - which stimulates nerve endings with high-frequency and high-voltage alternating current, affects capillaries, regulates high blood pressure, reduces headaches and dizziness.
Ultra high frequency current (UHF), which dilates blood vessels, accelerates blood circulation, reduces swelling. It is indicated for: neuralgia, neuritis, myalgia, various inflammatory processes, such as Raynaud's disease, hypertension, primary pneumonia, bronchitis, pleurisy, gastritis, cystitis, osteochondrosis, arthritis, postoperative wounds, trophic ulcers, festering wounds.
Magneto laser, which is indicated for asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, osteochondrosis, diabetes mellitus, gastritis, stomach ulcers, prostatitis, cystitis, ear, nose and throat diseases, increases immunity, reduces swelling.
Kinesiotherapy, which strengthens the musculoskeletal system through exercises, mechanotherapy, traction methods. It is indicated for osteochondrosis, herniated intervertebral discs, arthrosis, arthritis, scoliosis, kyphosis, diseases of the joints, cardiovascular and respiratory systems, and injuries to the musculoskeletal system.
